How to Use the Concrete Pad Cost Estimator

Before using the cost calculator above, you’ll need to know the estimated square feet of your concrete surface. If you’re unsure, you can measure it manually or do it from your device using Google Earth. If you do already know the square feet of your new concrete pad, skip down to the calculator section below.

    • Go to Google Earth.
    • Click the Search Icon in the left menu and search for your home address.
    • Click the ruler icon in the left menu, and drop anchor points around the general perimeter of your concrete pad, patio or sidewalk area. If trees obscure your view, use your best judgment, based on your knowledge of your home and the space you want the concrete poured.
    • On the right side, view the square feet of the area. (Note: The tiny arrow next to the measured size drops down to change the type of measurement if not already showing square feet.)
    • Round the measurement to the nearest 10, then add 5% to the total when using the concrete pad cost estimator below. This is is to account for waste. For example, in the picture below it shows 1,280 square feet, so there is no need to round it to the nearest 10. Next, I’ll add 64 square feet (5%) to account for the waste, flared edges, transitions, etc. The correct number of square feet needed in the cost estimator is 1,344 sq ft.
