Our gravel driveway project estimator is built to provide you with a rough estimate of what to expect so you’ll be fully informed about every facet of your gravel driveway project. Shown below are the factors we used for preparing this calculator.

Included in this Replacement Estimate

  • Basic Site Work: Ground preparation and moderate grading to assure a level surface that drains properly and is free of all grass and debris.
  • Gravel and Supplies: All material costs like the base gravel, top gravel, weed barrier if used and edging and drainage supplies. This also includes delivery to your home.
  • Labor Cost: Labor for all work performed in the preparation, forming, drain installation, underground conduits installed, spreading and compacting of the gravel.
  • Removal and Disposal: If there is a lot of dirt removed to clear a space for the gravel driveway, the contractor may offer to haul it away and dump.
  • Jobsite Cleanup: All cleanup of the the yard area around the edges of the new gravel drive.

Not Included in this Cost Estimate

  • Extensive Site Work: The clearing or removal of big trees, or relocating existing structures like carports, storage buildings, fencing etc.
  • Utility Work: Relocating underground utilities like gas, water, or electrical lines to accommodate the new driveway.
  • Permits and HOA Covenants: It is often the homeowners responsibility to assure they can install a gravel driveway on their property. If you have an HOA, it’s also your responsibility to assure you comply with covenants that may apply.
  • Landscaping Repairs: While some light grading is generally included, it does not include bringing in new topsoil or reseeding the area that was disturbed during the driveway installation.
